350 year old Buckeye Tree

On 9/15/2008, Hurricane Ike came through Cincinnati and destroyed what was the oldest living Buckeye Tree in the state. I tried to salvage as much of the tree as I could to keep it from being burned in fireplaces. The following pieces are made from some of the salvaged wood.

This weather station is not from the buckeye tree. It is Tigerstriped Ambrosia Maple and along with the 2 vases and bowl with red backgrounds were made for a Hospice Charity Auction.
